“Oh no I can feel a Daily Message coming on,” a client said to me the other day.
He had just shared with me how he had hired and paid an employee for over a year only to let him go because he simply wasn’t paying off.
“What were you hoping to accomplish with him when you brought him into that position?” I asked.
Although the client had a fairly good idea, it wasn’t a rock solid, measurable and tangible outcome.
“My understanding is that this was a new position you created in the business. So in other words you were experimenting with an idea with no way of knowing if the idea was working. You were relying on hope and your instinct."
“Yup, I suppose so.”
“And that experiment cost you how much?”…
