You Betta Think…
You better think (think) think about what you're trying to do to me
Yeah, think (think, think), let your mind go, let yourself be free…
…Oh freedom (freedom), freedom (freedom), freedom, yeah freedom
Freedom (freedom), freedom (freedom), freedom, ooh freedom
Lyrics to song by Aretha Franklin, Think
Go back to the first line in the lyrics above. What if you change the word "me" to "your business".
I believe that in order to create freedom it begins by first "thinking" about what you are trying to build your business to become. Vague, undeveloped randoms ideas don't work. You must be crystal clear and be able to communicate it with the same clarity.
Thinking is a lost art. People don't like to think anymore. We like to be busy. It's the American Way. Go, go, go. Do, do, do. Better to be shuffling papers and running like a chicken with our heads cut off than to get caught for five minutes simply thinking.
Do you give yourself permission to really think?
Because when you think about the right things, it leads to freedom. Not only in your mind, but, ultimately, in a literal sense. Provided you take the appropriate action.
But the right action first requires deliberate thought.
